If set in low priority, every user-initiated process will take precedence over XG. I think it's a better setting than blocking the multi threading as you still use 100% of your processing power expect when you need it fro other process.
Btw, in the option dialog you can set the number of thread used by XG to 1 if you want to avoid having to set processor affinity.
