I didn't mentioned which hit play. Well, just count shots. 8/4* is reflex play but it leaves all 4s 31 35 total 15 shots.

7/4*/3 leaves all 3s total 11 shots. Both plays has three different numbers for cover so play which leaves less shots is the winner.
