1. Blue has only two homeboard points made and White has an anchor, but Blue has ten checkers in the zone, a double shot at a second blot, and has escaped one back checker with the other one having one foot out the door already. White has no defensive structure besides the anchor and has a gigantic racing deficit. I think White will lose a lot of gammons despite her anchor. If White gets a holding game she will be very unlikely to have any racing vig. If she makes a second anchor then her chances will increase, but she certainly can't count on that in this position. D/P.
2. Despite Blue's race lead and five-point board, this looks like a clear take to me. Blue currently has no active builders for her 5pt, so White has good chances of entering and possibly hitting back. Even if she enters without hitting back, but manages to safety the back checker, she should have decent chances in a mutual holding game (her back point facing off against Blue's midpoint). I'm not so sure about the double because if we send the cube over and get hit back, it's curtains. Still, we have a huge race lead and a five-point board, and if we bring a couple of builders down and don't get hit, White probably has to pass. D/T.
3. The best non-hitting play looks like 23/14. If we hit, the choice seems to be between 8/5* 8/2 and 13/10* 8/2. Of these, 8/5* 8/2 looks better, hitting the more dangerous slot and leaving only one blot. After 23/14, 32 of White's rolls hit. Despite Pottle's law, I'll try 8/5* 8/2 here, not so much because we want to attack but because it at least gives White more poor rolls, and knocks her off our 5pt.
