1. 13/9* looks straightforward. Slotting 6/5 looks too rash. I'd play 8/7 trying to keep the maximum number of active builders for the blitz.
2. In general I think I don't play these sorts of positions aggressively enough. My first inclination is to play safe with 20/13 but I think that's not right here. The candidates I see are 8/1*, 13/10 13/9, and 20/16 13/10. Of these I'd eliminate 20/16 13/10 first. It doesn't seem to gain much compared to the alternatives. Between the remaining two plays I'm not sure. I'll try 8/1*, risking an overcorrection of my weakness. I think 8/1* would be clear if White didn't have her 4pt made but it's less clear to me here.
3. Here we have two on the bar against a three-point board, so a natural comparison point is 52S-55A-F-C, which is a solid drop. Here there are a few points in Blue's favor: he has 9 checkers in the zone rather than 8, and a larger race lead; also White has another blot here. In White's favor is her bar point, plus Blue's slightly awkward distribution: Blue has made his 2pt rather than his 3pt, and all his spares are stacked on his 6pt. Still, it looks like a drop to me.
