1. We're way behind in the race so I think we have to hit despite White's five-point board. The choice seems to be between 7/3* and 6/3*/2. The advantage of 6/3*/2 is that even if White hits, she won't be at the edge of our prime. However, this looks like playing not to lose rather than playing to win. I would play 7/3*, noting that White's 3's are duplicated to hit and cover.
2. I think we have to split since White is threatening to prime us. We have and equally strong board and White has only nine checkers in the zone so it doesn't seem too dangerous to split. The choice seems to be among U, V, and S. (S seems better than C.) Though it strips our midpoint, I'd play S here. If we do get attacked, we don't want another blot lying around. If we were to shift one of White's 6pt blots back to her 7pt, making a four-prime, then U or V would be more attractive to me.
3. If Blue's prime were shifted back a pip then I think the take would be easy. Here, though, I'm less sure. White does have a huge racing lead and still has a five-point board, so if she can hit a blot, or jump out and avoid getting hit, she'll be winning. However, Blue has four builders aimed at the 8pt and will still have solid outfield coverage even if he rolls poorly. Still, I would take, because Blue still has work to do to close out White. D/T.
