That Ian.... that my friend is the essence of poker. You don't need the best hand to win.

Stick was "playing the board" so to speak. He had 2 pair with an ace kicker.

But, his opponent doesn't know that! His opponent probably puts him on at least an ace here because of the preflop raise.

Two questions for Stick:

A) Holy crap, are you properly bankrolled for $100/200 limit??

B) What hand do you put him on here and why? My read is something like 89d or pp > 6s that gets counterfeited on the river.

Now although the results work out for you, the river play is horribly horribly -EV. Your opponent is getting over 6:1 odds on a crying call here, which I make with any pp > 6s.
