If you don't hit I think everything should nearly cancel out right? You have a close race (ever so slightly behind but a slightly better anchor so they offset) so winning chances should be 50/50. Gammons both won & lost I see no need to make a distinction between either. By making the anchor I'm going to go out on a limb and say your equity is +0.000. What about after hitting?

Hitting should both win more gammons and lose more gammons. If we allow those to offset each other and want to now know only one thing, which play wins more? aka which play is the dmp play? That's hitting and taking the race lead no question so hitting it is. 23/16 Next!
