"397 games" is 397 games or trials. "equivalent games" is imho redundant information that tells you how many trials without variance reduction you would have needed to get to the same standard error.

I agree that checker play according to score should not make that much of a difference here at least as long as we are comparing cubeless results. As the standard errors in Stick's rollouts were rather large, the difference we are seeing might, at least partially, be due to noise.
