Did I win? Nope.
What did I play that caused so many people to disagree? 7/4*/3. The premium play. When I posted this initially, of the people that I had shown it to, only Sam Pottle, Freddy Kalantari & myself thought it clear to hit. Please forgive me if I forgot anyone else who was hitting. I did keep meaning to grab Kit or Neil, but whenever I saw Kit, he was playing, and Neil was never to be found when I was seeking other hitters. I even got a cheerful 8/5,8/7 from Stick followed by a laugh and a "what else is there?".

So, the story was (for this game), I had somehow managed to run a checker round through quite a roadblock, and had found myself in this great position, then I rolled the brick (its only a brick because I lost the match lol). So, I made my play, picked up the dice and watched on helplessly as Jeb rolled his obligatory 53 from the roof to hit and cover. In fairness to Jeb, it was honestly quite amazing that he even had to play a DMP game.

So I rolled the obligatory 25 from the bar to come in and hit loose on my own 3pt. Very distressing. There was some rehitting, and some re-rehitting with further 25s from the bar (3 in total I think). Eventually Jeb was kind enough to fan on my 3rd rehit, and I proceeded to hoover up his blots and win the G. All the time telling him I was going to BG him for the match (I wish!). So justice was done, Jeb won, and went on to face Steve Sax. Steve won that, then lost to Stick in the next round, and Stick of course beat Paul Weaver. Congrats!
To close: Outstanding tournament, and I am justly proud of my 5-4 record amongst such illustrious competition: Taki, Carole Joy Cole, Joe Freedman, Bill Minser, Neil Kazaross, Petko, Chuck, Dana Nazarian and Jeb Horton were my opponents, and thats just a small piece of the total field.
