Thanks...I'm beat. I ended up playing what, 14 matches in the Open division along with two matches with Chuck, sure, they were quick & painless, but I did have to be awake & coherent for the first couple of rolls of the game before Chuck took over. The drive home wasn't terrible, but it was still 8 hours.
For the record this was my first Suisse tournament of any sort and I loved it. You get to play a lot of matches against various opponents. I believe this structure favors the stronger players but I also figure that the weaker players in the Swiss tourneys feel lucky to be able to play a Kit Woolsey or a Steve Sax or a Paul Weaver or even loserkaz. You know when your next match starts and when you finish early (as I usually do, probably because in part because of my quick play, don't have to waste time figuring out match equities/take points/gammon value/all that other bs if you don't know it, really speeds up things!)
I don't have the final match between myself and Paul. I played Steve Sax twice and have both of those matches since we played them on Snowie. He won one, I won one. I played very well in the first, though it's easy to do when Steve is kicking your ass, and in the 2nd I played decent aside from the cube I gave at 2a4a, me being 2a. It was a .5 whopppppppppper! Not losing any sleep over it though, I was 75% to win the game (match) so whoopie shit. Aside from that my ER was 3.5 in the 2nd match.
I will be busy most of the week with that RL thing but I'll also hopefully squeeze in rolling out and sharing all kinds of positions from the weekend tourney and have time to catch up next week at the earliest lol. September sucks ...
Stick ... noting I now have 19 ABT points and Neil only has 288, I should catch him in no time.
