There are many differences here, all favoring the safer play: (1) White has a much better board (deuce point instead of the ace point) (2) White's back checker is on the deuce, not the three, so it's better blocked by Blue's 8 point and White can make a better backgame or long-term anchor point from the bar after 20/15*, (3) if Blue points, 6/3 5/3 makes the better three point instead of the deuce point, and plays in front of, not behind, White's back spare, (4) if White return hits from the bar 13/10* (instead of 13/11*), his outfield spare is aimed at Blue's slotted 21 point, and (5) Blue's outfield blot on the 15 point (instead of the 14 point) doesn't connect with his 8 point.
