World Series Game 6 (OT) - Questions

The Cardinals had no additional bench players; so, if you pinch run for Berkman in the situation in the ninth you don't have the 'slow tubby bitch' to knock in the tying run in the tenth -- you have a pitcher batting for him.
Berkman is one of the nicest guys in baseball and has actually slimmed down a bit this year. He is leading the Cardinals in hitting in the Series (.435 BA, .519 OBP), is a feared hitter (particularly from the left side), and provides considerable hitting protection to Pujols in the line-up -- would you like Pujols to come up several more times in an extended game with a pitcher hitting behind him?
Berkman is a consummate team player, 6 time All-Star, has a lifetime .296 batting average, and a lifetime .409 on-base percentage (walks/walked a lot). Has 1193 career RBI's and 358 career home-runs (4th most ever for a switch-hitter, adding to his value and versatility).
Berkman was also the 1997 National College Player of the Year at Rice University.
Don't knock the "Big Puma".
