True.

He brought in a pitcher in Game 5 to issue an intentional walk? And then pulled him? If the first reliever couldn't intentionally walk someone then he shouldn't be playing.

The situation there was far more complicated than you mention -- you made his incompetence far less tame than it really was. LaRussa botched Game 5 about as badly as a manager can screw up.

Last night he lets one pitcher get announced as a pinch hitter and then replaces him with another. Had the game gone many more additional innings that could've come back to haunt him. I think he is grossly overhyped as a manager.

Agreed. He plays everything like a chess match, and he thinks he's some kind of genius, like he's god's gift to managing. Bleah.
