Let me ask you guys a question, what purpose does the bar point serve? Are you blocking anything whatsoever? Are you facilitating bringing your checkers home? Or are you perhaps creating a point that needs cleared and possible ugly ass fives later on that play 7/2 while you try to clear it? 13/7(2) seems like a real auto pilot type play.

I have worked with backgames a lot lately but not the deeper ones so much yet. Still I find it hard to see much value in the 7pt. That being said, I'm still confused as to what I'd play right now. I think I will actually have to set up the position and look at the candidate plays.
