Misja Does this imply that XG would play stronger if it would use those dice map equities for its evaluation, instead of its current algorithm?

Surely, but at a huge time cost. for instance using the normal interval and for a 3-ply, up to 8 move will need to be analyzed for each roll in 2-ply, that would result in making the program 8 times slower. The penalty would be exponentially worse for higher plies.

XGRoller+(+) do that: 2-ply for the first move in XGR+ (3-ply for XGR++), but on a subset all the posibilities and that seems to be a good compromise between strength and speed.
