Maybe I'm too aggressive, but I make the 4 point here. Getting hit here would not be disastrous for us. If he hits, only 11 allows him to cover his 5 point, giving us plenty of return shots. Further, on some of his hitting rolls, I'm not even sure he should hit. For example, if he rolls 51, he's forced to play bar/24 and if he hits, it's 22/17. That leaves him with 6 blots around the board. If he did that, I'd be sending the cube over and starting the blitz if he took. Our racing lead here is not big enough to play passively here. If we play passive and Stick rolls a large double in the next few rolls, we won't even be favored to win anymore. Getting hit will just lead to a blot hitting contest in which we have a better board. Overall, I just can't see the benefit of the passive play. (BTW, I would hold off cubing this turn. As for future turns, I don't know if it would slow the match too much, but how about everyone votes on the cube decision and the move we'd make if we decide not to double. Then, if we decide to double, generate a new roll. I just think it gives us an unfair advantage to see what our roll is before we decide to double.)
