Thanks for your explanation. You got some lessons learned to apply in the future as I am sure you do from every event you run.

From all the accounts here (your's as well as the others from Paul and Bob)......No one was injured, no real money disappeared and all affected players got to make their own decision about how to deal with the situation. In the worst case, a few players had some Carribean beach time with no tournament to play in (by their own choice) and $5K to spend.

Thanks for your support of the game and your willingness to try new and different events around the world. The US OPEN you ran here in Washington DC area in 2009 happened around the same time as a marked increase in attendance in our two local clubs that has stayed relatively steady through this year. Hopefully, you will keep running tournaments beyond the events your currently committed to run.
