In Response To: Cube action when likely to pound a bunch of blots vs a 42 backgame (Timothy Chow)

I'm not sure that Blue's threat to pound White's blots and roll home is the most potent threat in this position

Then what is??

"It's not that unlikely that White will enter and have a reasonably well-timed backgame".

Explain?

Is white twixed in between a well and not so-well timed backgame?

"Meanwhile Blue could roll 44 and crunch, or escape the front checker and roll 55 or 44 and crunch".

a little thin this parlay; wouldn't you agree?

"I think White has an easy take here, especially trailing 11a9a. As Blue I would be inclined to hold the cube but am not sure about that".

I'm confused! You're sitting on the fence in light of your opening remarks, yes?
