1. It's tempting to escape with this perfect escaping roll. However, White can then attack us with small numbers and escape with big numbers. It looks like the wrong idea to me. I prefer 8/2* 3/2. This puts our otherwise-weak 3pt builder to good use, equalizes primes by making a solid five-prime of our own, and puts White on the bar against a five-point board. It's true that we run the risk of crunching before we are able to escape, but I think this is a smaller risk than the risks accompanying 24/17. Based on this table, I think we have about a 40% chance of escaping before we have to crunch, and if we've closed out both White checkers then even if we start to crunch we're not dead yet. I think this is a good DQR candidate whether or not I've analyzed this correctly.
2. If we hit with 11/5* then I think we should double hit with 11/5* 7/2*. The cube is already turned and this play will win more gammons. If we succeed in making our 5pt then that will be a huge asset even we are hit back. Of course, the double hit leaves 20 return shots that will dissipate our race lead and give White strong counterattacking chances. If we don't hit then I think we should just play safe with 16/11 7/1. Not really sure about this one but I'll go for playing safe.
3. With White having a more advanced anchor than we do, my first inclination is to split. However, the 22pt anchor is not that advanced, and White's stacks argue against splitting. I would play 13/8 6/5 here.
