1. We could go all kamikaze with 13/11* 3/1 or even 13/11* 6/5 4/3 but I'm sure the bot will hate that, and the bot is probably right because of all the resulting gammon losses. I'd be curious to know how the kamikaze play fares at DMP. I'm pretty sure the bot will still hate it but I don't think that it will really give the kamikaze strategy a fair shake, because it will probably try to undo the kamikaze strategy by remaking points. Anyway, since we want White to crack, I don't think it helps to hit here. I'll just play 13/12 8/5.
2. The double hit is the first play that springs to my eye. Alternatively, we could try 13/10 6/2. Making the outside point is a plus but I don't like 6/2. If we're leaving a direct shot anyway, I'd rather try to blitz. 8/4*/1*.
3. We're a little behind in the race but I don't think that staying back with the straggler helps our game. It's true that even if we successfully escape the straggler, the best we can hope for (barring jokers) is to force White into a holding game where our advantage will be slight because of our race deficit. We'd rather hit a shot and gain some pips. However, White has 11 checkers arranged rather flexibly on her side of the board, so our straggler is at considerable risk of getting primed or attacked, and our chances of hitting a shot are not particularly good. And even if we do hit a shot, White will still have a viable holding game. The risk doesn't look worth the potential gain to me, and I'd rather try to escape our straggler now. 24/20 14/13.
