I can handle the embarrassment of being totally wrong most of the time, but man these are tough!! No wonder few people volunteer answers to these problems.

General thoughts which apply to all the problems today.

Do we go balls to the wall on the bust the timing game? Meaning, put the checkers where you want them to form best block possible and challange him to win going forward early. -Or- maybe the opponent's timing already isn't so great, implying our strategy should be to try and slip by safely to home?

I was confused in all cases as to is the timing good? Can we bust it? Should we even try?

1 Not hitting is too cute for me. 20/18*/13 is my play. Especially with him distracted on the rack, maybe we get lucky and win the battle for the bar next turn.

2 Wow there are lots of options. My first reaction is to simply make the bar. This is going to be a long game and 4 in a row has got to be worth something. On the other hand, busting White's game is going to be very difficult given the lifeline on the 16 point. I wouldn't be surprised if either 20/17*/11 or 20/17*, 20/14 is correct here. 20/17*, 13/7 keeping the back block and building from the middle could be right also. Confused, I make the bar. 13/7, 10/7.

3 Still feeling clueless. Maybe White's timing isn't go great and trying to make the 10 point is the wrong idea? My instinct is to try and make it, and even though we are going to get hit for sure, I try the pure 20/15, 20/16.
