Nice question. As soon as I see this, I'm in wipe-out mode.

From worst to best:

1. Making prime

2. Hitting 23

3. Making ace

4. Make deuce, keep ace slotted.

Not hitting is not just about forgoing gammons but gives white some dice rolls to make his deuce or tidy things up.

Leaving the ace slotted is attractive, because it gives you the opportunity to make the points in order, and also blue you to pick up the man on the 23 when white hits back.

I await the answer with bated breath.
