A bit scary to redouble as you will be looking at an 8-cube if you miss, but it will be an easy take, since you will not be much of an underdog in the game and being gammoned on an 8-cube is not that much worse than a loss (~12% in MWC).

I guess you probably win enough gammons to justify a double, but I would not double a significantly weaker player here, unless I thought there was a chance he might not redouble after a miss.
