In Response To: Cube action? (Stick)

Your story reminds me of a match where I was leading 6a10a against a weaker opponent. I don't know how the bot would rate his skill in general, but I'd guess 12 PR or worse. I got into a backgame, holding a 2-cube, and then he rolled an anti-joker, forcing him to create three blots (one behind my anchors). It was still a clear ND but then I hit one of the blots and he danced against my 4.5-point board. At this point I thought I might be TG (the bot later said that I was slightly TG) but I redoubled and he took! According to the bot, taking was over a 1.000 error (EMG). But then I rolled poorly and he rolled well. He probably should have sent the cube over at 8 at some point, but he got his 8 points anyway by gammoning me. I won the next two points but lost at 4a2a with the cube on 2.

Given that he took my redouble to 4, I think it's hard to fault my decision to redouble, but it was a pretty frustrating experience.
