I am home today with a bum knee so I will try one of these.

1. With 3s and 4s coming up and being able to kill 6s and early in the match this looks like an easy double - drop. The question is, is it too good? My estimate for gammons here is 11% (3% plus 2% for each man on the 7 or 8, yes it is rough but it usually gets me in the ballpark. More than 5 men on the 7-8 it goes up faster than 2% each) and I am not happy rolling 55, 66, 22, 65, 62, 61, 52, 51 so it looks like I have more to lose than to gain so I toss the cube.

2. Things to note about this position: Match score, white's four checkers on the 2 point, white's blocked 6s, and white's back checker is on the 23 and not the 24. The match score wants me to keep the anchor and play 10 - 6. The four men on his 23 and his blocked 6s, makes me want to run to the 16 and the general position is I want to hit. Not sure at all here but I am reasonably sure that OTB I would wimp and play 10/6.

3. Another match lead! If the score was 0-0, I would be asking myself if I was too good here to double. Having a match lead like this, I take my point or else hope that my desperate opponent takes this.
