Playing from the midpoint looks clearly wrong as it just gives targets for the opponent when nothing forces him to walk into a double shot. The state of the race could argue for hitting but there looks too many repeat shots to me. I think are best bet is 6/4 2/1 and hope to hit later or creep to a recube in the race.
