1. We can either close the board and risk cracking, or escape the back checker and risk having White roll a couple of 1's to get back into the game. I'd close the board with 6/1 since even if we start to crack, we're doing O.K. For the deuce, 7/5 looks clear because otherwise 62 64 are awkward.

2. Two checkers against a four-point board is usually a drop. Despite White's strong board and Blue's open 3pt and 4pt, I don't think she has enough compensation. D/P.

3. Running the straggler will lose fewer gammons but it effectively breaks contact and we're too far behind in the race for that in my opinion. Given that we're just going to hang back, there are probably several plays that are close, but I'll just play the natural-looking 13/4.
