Your first sentence looks right if the ending is changed to "...would also be in the M family." Check out Mike's table and explanation here.

Perhaps what you meant is that the secondary Mayfair split play (m = b/23 6/4(2) 9/7) also leaves a double direct shot (on the 7pt, instead of on the 9pt and 11pt). True.
