I wish you would have said which play he offered to bet against. To me this is a next even when I'm wrong, always make the better point. Can I still get the bet? Giants are donkeys, at least 24 of them anyway.

Advice to screw with the donkeys, if someone offers to bet you immediately when you say you'd play something different come back immediately with something along the lines of "I'll give you 3-1 if you bet 500 or more" and watch them croak in their tracks. It's rather fun.
