It's the choice between ripping or peeling. Jake Jakobs wrote a paper on GV, where he said, "when in doubt, rip". But here, i count 13 crossovers for white, getting off the gammon. Staying even on the last two points is not a next, but after pondering, i'll vote for

8/3 5/4.
