After 8/3, do we rip 1/0ff, or stay even on the outer points, 5/4? OTB, and before reading others' post, I would respect White's board and play the safer, 8/3 5/4, so that should be my vote.

As others have stated, White needs 13 crossovers to get off gammon and has a open ace point. Might one or both of those suggest we should rip?
