We came to different results, but at least we used the same logic. :-)
I stand by the count of 34 sequences in favor of 4/2, but I did miss the xx-44 sequences in favor of 5/3. There are not as many as you said because when we roll a 5 or 6 we bear off the checker on the 5 and it is a wash. So there are only the non-doublet combinations of 1, 3 and 4, followed by a 44. Those are 6 sequences, making my count 29+6=35 rolls in favor of 5/3.
35-34 in favor of 5/3, who finds yet another odd sequence ?
