b/23 6/4(2) is automatic, but how to play the final deuce is trickier. 8/4 leaves a flexible position, but four blots are a liability. With the relative board strengths, White has a great incentive to attack, so the blots on the eight and nine points become targets rather than builders.

I think Blue must play the ugly 10/8 and hope to weather the storm.
