1.
Should we treat this position as a holding game or a backgame,
or maybe a proto-backgame?
As a backgame we don't need much more timing, since it is a 4-5 backgame.
So 11x4 might overdo it a bit.
13/7 22/21 is structurally better, also because it helps the recirculation.
13/7 22/21
2.
The same game a few hits later.
We now have an awkward D3 to play.
The problem with 24/21 is that we might be forced to play an awkward 4 the next move.
And we preferably would hold our 5-anchor intact.
Which move will give us a take when white doubles next move?
I would play 7/4(2) 8/2.
An eventual hit on 8 might give us the 24-point, and thus playable 4's and 5's.
7/4(2) 8/2
3.
This position is nastily overrun.
8/2 6/2 can't be good can it?
It can be so very wrong since 18/8 is very risky.
I'd play 8/2 6/2 and hope for a better throw on the next move.
8/2 6/2
