Giants Voting

Sly has only made two tournaments in the past year and won them both--the last one he beat Neil in the finals. He has played matches using XG on my computer and played under 3.0 both times. I have shown him many positions, including some that stumped other Giants, and he got them right almost immediately and explained why...often when the decisions were quite complex and based on complicated math.

As for your comment about my knowledge of the US players, I believe you are implying that my list is prejudiced toward US players, and YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. I do not have a good sense of the European players except by reputation, and I know that people like Sander and Jorgen and many others are great and are worthy of Giant status, but I do not know how often they play or how good they are and I'm not qualified to offer an opinion. I was not saying how I think people should vote...I was saying my impressions from what I know and how I would be voting. I am sure people in Europe will tend to vote more for European players, and that's just part of what happens with the Giant voting.
