1. 24, 4. Duplicates 3's and unstacks our 6-point.
2. I guess we win about 80% in the race after o(2). In practice we win a tiny bit more because sometimes blue can't leap our 3-prime. The alternative is hitting: Say that we win 23 games when blue misses and 5 games when he hits, that's 28 games or 78%. According to my calculation hitting is wrong, so I'd play O(2).
3. I see 2 reasonable plays: 8, 6 and 10(2). I prefer making the 10 point even though it gives 5 extra shots, because we have a better defence after a hit, and if missed the 10 point is useful for blocking white and as a landing point for bringing our checkers home.
