Since continuing the blitz with 13/4* seems overly optimistic (euphemism), the main question is whether we would like to switch from the midpoint to the 10-point. The midpoint is important for connectivity because we have 5 checkers back. On the other hand the 10 blocks sixes for the 4-point blot, which could well become a made 4-point. Blocking those sixes when we are behind in the race is quite big. So 13/10(2) it should be unless we are in a real danger to stay stuck with our back checkers.

Let's look at it : After B/22 23/20 13/10(2) (of course we are going to make the golden anchor), how bad is it for our back checkers ? Although they are all on even points, there aren't really bad rolls, the combinations of odd numbers are all constructive, and XG doesn't have many rolls that make a new point, so we will almost always be able to spring in the outfield. I think we can afford losing some connectivity in order to make a better block.

B/22 23/20 13/10(2)
