Q: why do it complicated when you can make it simple.
A: because you can!

There is a much easier reasonning
If you have 2N cards between 2 players and 2 Aces. one of the player hold an ace, the chances that he has the other one is that his (N-1) other card contain the ace. As there is (2N-1) card left it is (N-1)/(2N-1)

with 2N=26 P=12/25, with 2N=4 P=1/3
