Surely opening 43U gives away more than it might gain at gammon go, and that is probably true for money as well. If you'll only reasonably try opening 43U at dmp and gammon save (and a few less common scores), I recommend that you focus your research on replies made at dmp and gammon go (your opponent's symmetric score). Your diagrammed example 43U-64-s does not qualify in that regard.

That said, opening 43U is still on my list of 28 strong opening plays (29 including 62$-g), it's theoretically the best play for many replies, its unfamiliarity tends to induce errors, and I applaud your efforts to find more reasons to play it early in the game.
