1. Stepping up the back checker does make it slightly more vulnerable to attack, which is what White wants to do since she's made her 2pt, but I will nevertheless step up in order to allow our straggler a direct path out. There are a few ways to do this. Other things being equal, 24/21 looks better than 24/22, but it's somewhat awkward to play a 2 up front whereas 8/5 looks natural for a 3. I'll try 24/22 8/5.

2. This looks like a case where we don't make the 5pt because it gives White too many good rolls in an otherwise inflexible position. 13/9.

3. Unstacking with 13/10(2) looks like a must. After that I'm not sure. We could try 24/21 13/10, or 10/7(2), or 6/3(2), or 8/5(2). I will try 6/3(2).
