Can you see the underlined g in my preceding post? Please post a quick reply either way.
I used the font Consola under Windows7 with IE9 to create an underlined g.
Instead of using the underline tag in HTML, however, I used the "Combining Low Line" (character U+0332) from the Consolas character set. (Consolas is a Unicode character set.) First I typed lower case g, and then I entered the combining low line. It worked great on my computer, and still does. I just reread the post at BGO, and the underlined g shows up fine.
As Nack suggested, I changed fonts for one character only, the underlined g. Here is the inline Cascading Style Sheet font-family command I used (td stands for table data):
[less-than symbol]td style="font-family:Consolas,Arial Unicode MS,Lucida Sans Unicode,Courier,sans-serif;"[greater-than symbol] g̲ [less-than symbol]/td[greater-than symbol]
For the underlined, upper case G, I used the regular (though deprecated) HTML underline tags.
