Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking and I noticed your post just before posting myself. "Game, match, series" or "Game, match, round."

In pro-tour volleyball, they tried calling games "sets" to make it sound more like tennis (hoping to acquire some of that game's popularity) but it caused confusion for some (is a set the same as a game or the same as a match?) and with others it just never caught on. I noticed that most TV commentators have gone back to calling games "games."
