One problem with YABGS (Yet another BG server) is community fracture. I personally think there are too many sites, and I'd rather see some form of consolidation. Unless you can produce the ideal site that would eliminate the need for all others - I think it is pointless to build another.

If you charge a fee then there will be the large portion of casual players who will balk at the idea of using it. I personally wouldn't pay a cent to play BG now - multiple free sites do the job just fine.

I should note that I don't play BG for money either.
