I think 12/6 8/4* must be inferior to 22/16 8/4*, because it is more important to jump the prime than to keep the anchor. I also pick 22/16 8/4* above 22/12. Hitting with 8/4* keeps Stick off balance so he won't have a strong attack on the remaining blot in his home board. If we play 22/12 and don't hit Stick will be happy to use his whole roll to attack the remaining straggler, and our board is too weak to make a return hit a big threat. The bold & beautiful 22/16 8/4* turns the game around when it works.
