Question: Does Woosley's Doubling Rule apply in such situations? -- Should White Take a recube AtS? I am not 100% sure. So, Woolsey's rule says I should cube. (But does my lack of confidence result from my lack of understanding of recubes AtS?)

OTB, I would not be sure if Woosley's rule applies. Moreover, and I would worry that we still have to get the 5 checkers home, and White has some spare snipers. I would be scared to give White control of a 4-cube and I would chicken out and No Double.
