Sorry, but I have to disagree. This has NOTHING AT ALL to do with luck or the luck factor (even though I am one of those people who don't believe in luck, only odds, but that's an old debate).

I was NOT AT ALL trying to measure the "difference" between top players. I was illustrating that they are "different." A player who missed problem 1 may be no better or worse than a player who missed problem 3. And a player who got all three isn't necessarily better than someone who missed all three...it just shows that on these particular 3 he was more skilled. Given 3 more, it could be reversed. The goal, which was proven, in my opinion, was to show that no one has perfect the game and not all great players play the same.
