gammonu.com and www.gammonu.com are technically separate domains. www.gammonu.com is a subdomain of gammonu.com . The primary domain can actually have different IP addresses associate with it.

http://gammonu.com does not necessarily have to equal http://www.gammonu.com . The DNS entries for gammonu.com appear as:

gammonu.com has address 64.201.248.215 gammonu.com has address 198.144.203.150 gammonu.com mail is handled by 10 fibs.com.

www.gammonu.com shows as:

www.gammonu.com has address 198.144.203.150 www.gammonu.com has address 64.201.248.215

64.201.248.215 is Fibs at present. And 198.144.203.150 is gammonu.com. Note the ordering difference.

Which IP address gets can vary. Usually though the first one listed usually has higher precedence (but it doesn't have to be that way). It is quite conceivable that one DNS query can send you to Fibs and the next week it could go to GammonU.

An interesting thing to note, is that this issue has appeared in a thread on this site previously back in 2009.

It should be brought to the attention of Patti Beadles and or Kit.
