I prefer the split to two down here but wouldn't argue w/a doubles partner if he wanted to go balls to the wall w/2 down. The race is even, Blue has the stronger board, White has a stacked midpoint he'd like to develop, I think this calls for 24/20 covering White's outfield and striving for an advanced anchor. The race is dead even so the 5 pt. would be very valuable to sit on and control the outfield or run from if those magic doubles ever were to arise. This will also force White to hit loose with some numbers when you have the stronger board and welcome a blot hitting contest hoping to send him on a ride and gain the racing lead. Ok, after all that typing, I realize I lied, I would argue with a doubles partner if they wanted to play 2 down from the mid, even though the rollout shows them as virtually interchangeable I now prefer, after talking myself into it, the split a little more.
