5 FPS might not be so bad. This is usually configurable in the streaming software. I know MCG and I played with frame rates and resolution previously (I think MCG use to stream) to compensate for really bad connectivity.

I think I was there too when this testing took place.

And I think that even as low as 2 FPS was ok - and MCG managed to upload high-resolution video even with crappy upload speed in Monte Carlo. And that was the best backgammon stream I ever watched.


In the future, if current video-resolution is kept, I think it would be good to limit frame rate (even if uploader has good/fast connection) to max 5 FPS so even we on other side of Atlantic could watch the videos.
