1. Sending another checker back surely wins more gammons, but does it win more games? I think it probably doesn't. Bar/20 3/2*.

2. 5pt or hit? I think this is probably a close decision. It's thematic to run when ahead in the race so I will Pottle here. 24/18*.

3. Typically, hanging back will win more games, but may lose more gammons. But I don't think 15/9 sacrifices many gammons; it doesn't waste any pips. Does White have any rolls that give us more than a single direct shot if we split? 61 and 51 I guess. Doesn't seem worth it. 15/9 for me.
